5 Best Rewards in WoW Trading Post (September 2023)
This month is certainly special. It's the first time that we get class-unique armor sets and weapons. The weapons actually come in sets too: there are 3 pieces in each which is also quite awesome. Obviously, these class items are the main highlight of this month's catalog. And we already know that there will be more such sets in the upcoming months, so if your class hasn't received any unique things this month, don't worry! It certainly will quite soon! As for other rewards, there are lots of peculiar items to choose from this September, like a star fox pet or a blue crab mount. Let's take a look at the 5 most impressive of them, in our view!

3 Class Armor Sets
Item name: Plate of the Light Avenger (paladin), Silks of the Unnamed Cult (priest), Blood Onyx Uniform (rogue)
What is it: a set of Head, Shoulder, and Waist slot items
Get it for: 450 Trader's Tenders (each set)
Well, to be honest, these are not full armor sets – it's just 3 items in each. But that's still something noteworthy as we haven't got anything like this for a long time, except high-end raid and PvP sets, of course. Items in these sets are purely cosmetic but it's not strange at all considering their source (trading post). The item models are unique and if you ask us, they are pretty good-looking. So if you're lucky to have any of these 3 classes, you should definitely add these half-sets to your collection. Aesthetics-wise, it's possible to spot some particular influence sources for these sets:
- Paladin – Scarlet Crusade
- Priest – Tidesage cult (Kul'Tiras-based sea priests)
- Rogue – Aberrus and the general dragon theme

3 Class Weapons
Item name: Armaments of the Light Avenger (paladin), Secrets of the Unnamed Cult (priest), Blood Onyx Blades (rogue)
What is it: a set of Main-hand, Off-hand, and Two-hand weapons
Get it for: 500 Trader's Tenders (each set)
If class armor sets are something we're all quite used to, weapon sets is something brand new for sure. We get 3 weapons for each class in these sets and they are meant to complement the aforementioned armor sets. Here's what each class gets:
- Paladin – 2-hand hammer, 1-hand mace, and a shield
- Priest – 2-hand staff, 1-hand mace, and an off-hand (book)
- Rogue – 1-hand sword, 2 daggers
That covers the most used types of weapons for each of those classes, so you're likely to be able to transmog your current arms into these skins right away!

Crab Mount
Item name: Crusty Crawler
What is it: ground mount
Get it for: filling the progress bar
Finally we have another crab mount and this time it's not that time-consuming to unlock. It also walks sideways so the only difference from the Snapback Scuttler is the color (this one's blue, the Scuttler is reddish). If you don't remember or don't know the horrors of getting that other crab, we'll give you a reminder: you had to complete all Nazjatar achievements included to the Undersea Usurper super achievement which also awarded you with the "Of The Deeps" title. Luckily, if you just want a crab mount, you don't have to do that (at least if you've filled the progress bar this month).
Tauren Totem Cloaks
Item name: Ancestral Skychaser's Totem (blue), Ancestral Stonehoof Totem (red)
What is it: Back slot item
Get it for: 250 Trader's Tender (either)
If you're reluctant to complete the tauren heritage questline, here's your chance to add the totems-back to your collection without ever touching it. These totems are just as good, they just have different colors which might even be more appealing to some players. However, mind you, just like the original totem cloak, these 2 are only usable by taurens (both original and Highmountain). So if you've planned to have these for your character of any other race, don't waste your tenders!
What about non-cosmetic gear?

Star Fox Pet
Item name: Slyvy
What is it: pet
Get it for: 650 Trader's Tenders
The star fox pet looks great! A celestial mamal with wings is something to behold! It's also funny how it uses the similar concept as Algalon (but that's a reference that oldschool WoWers will get). Another reference for oldschool players is the Star Fox game franchise, of course. The original Star Fox (Fox McCloud) looks nothing like it but both belong to the same biological species and share some relation to space.
For battle pets fans, here are some data on it: it's a rare-quality pet and its primary type is Flying, it has 1319 HP, 297 Attack, and 297 Speed. It can learn the following skills:
- Bite (1 lvl)
- Celestial blessing (2 lvl)
- Lift-off (4 lvl)
- Arcane blast (10 lvl)
- Preen (15 lvl)
- Starfall (20 lvl)
