7 Best ESO Costumes – do you have them all?

What are the best 7 costumes in ESO and how to get them?

The one thing that all MMO RPG players like is showing their individuality. Elder Scrolls online is no exception in this regard. The game features quite a long list of various cosmetics that can be used for that specific purpose. Among others, costumes. Lots of these are only sold in crown store, so you have to pay real money to get them. There are, however, a few costumes that any player can unlock without paying a cent, and we’re going to present to you our top 7 of these. Note, that this is our personal top-7 and it is by no means objective.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

7. Cavalier of the Sworn Oath

6. Antiquarian Robes

5. Peryite Skeevemaster

4. Sixth House Robe

3. Regalia of the Orsimer King

2. Black Hand Robe

1. Merchant Lord's Formal Regalia

7. Cavalier of the Sworn Oath

This one looks fun, bear head and everything. Really shows who’s the alpha orc around here. When you want to show everyone your loyalty to Old Orsinium, don't forget to put this on.

How to obtain? You need to collect all the relics for the House of Orsimer glory. There're quite a few of those, to be honest, but, well, the reward is worth it! Obviously, you need Orsimer DLC for it.

6. Antiquarian Robes

The costume lets everyone see the one true relic hunter in this parts. That golden glint and noble grey get this really antique feeling about them. Totally classy! This costume would be particularly useful for all the relic hunters out there.

How to obtain? Getting it is relatively easy, if time-consuming: you need to max out your scrying skill. Yep, get ready to start scrying and digging, cause you have to dig up everything you’ve scried, otherwise it won’t count.

5. Peryite Skeevemaster

Got a real mysterious touch, this one. The bell makes him look like some sort of skaven worshipper from another universe. It’s also one of the few costumes that completely hides the character’s face. A must-have, by all standards!

How to obtain? All you have to do to unlock it is to farm 10 Plague-Drenched Fabrics from the Orcrest public dungeon in Northern Elsweyr. Which requires Elsweyr DLC. Don’t feel like farming them yourself?

4. Sixth House Robe

Red and black - that’s your recipe for imposing awesomeness. A fabulous duo of royal red and mysterious black. Really shows your unique character and all your many accomplishments in Tamriel. A decent-looking costume, by all standards.

How to obtain? Farm its seven parts in Forgotten Wastes public dungeon, Vvanderfell, and enjoy. You’ll need Morrowind DLC for it, btw. The parts are all different, btw, there are sixth house cloth, sixth house hammer, sixth house scissors, etc. And they drop quite randomly, so in reality it’s more like farm its 49 parts. Totally tedious! But the enigmatic touch is definitely worth it.

3. Regalia of the Orsimer King

With these everyone is king, if just an orsimer one. Still, a bit of royalty never hurt anybody. ESO doesn’t often give you an opportunity to pretend to be a king, so grabbing every single one of such robes is the only solid strategy here.

How to obtain? You need to complete the Wrothgar zone main questline. Obviously, you’ll need the Orsinium DLC for this. We’d actually recommend doing this one yourself for a change, as the questline isn’t so bad and should be enjoyed at least once.

2. Black Hand Robe

Who’s the deadliest assassin in the room? With this vestment, you are! Feel free to use your Blade of Woe on all who disagree. The combination of gold and black on it really gives you an idea of that terrible power, hidden within. An opportunity  to get into the Dark Brotherhood’s inner circle doesn´t present itself that often, so we'd go for it right away.

How to obtain? All you need to do is to complete the Dark Brotherhood's main questline. And max out their level first by doing all those not-so-exciting contracts, too. We'd recommend playing through their campaign yourself. Trust us, it’s every bit as exciting as it sounds! Dark Brotherhood DLC is required for this one, of course.

1. Merchant Lord's Formal Regalia

This one is definitely the one for all those former soul-shriven who’ve made some pretty coin in their travels. Friends will beg you for loan and foes will bow in awe before you when you’re wearing it! If they don’t, use Blade on Woe and our costume #2 on them first. The combination of crimson red, pitch black and pure gold is really quite impressive! And that peacock feather really adds to the whole impression.

How to obtain? To put this on, you need to complete most of the Thieves’ Guild main questline. And to farm max level of their skill tree first, of course. So there’s a lot of pickpocketing and safecracking in it for you!  And when you´re done we’d 100 per cent recommend completing their campaign, it’s really rather exciting. Thieves Guild DLC is required for this one, of course.

So that was our top 7 ESO costumes. While everybody definitely have their own tastes, nobody would argue that getting any of these is too hard. Besides, they´re free, so what are we even talking about? Get right into the game and start farming if any of these fabulous costumes have caught your eye!
