Best WoW mounts of Patch 10.2
Each new major update in WoW brings so many new mounts to collect! This time the theme of the content patch is the mesmerizing world of the Emerald Dream. Numerous fascinating lifeforms inhabit it and some of them, naturally, have become rideable for us. Let's take a look at the 4 most impressive new mounts that we now can collect in WoW Patch 10.2!
Fire owl with horns
In-game name: Reins of Anu'relos, Flame's Guidance

We haven't seen birds like this before and it's certainly refreshing to see this exotic owl. However, getting it won't be easy for anyone. It's a Mythic only reward that drops from the final boss of the raid, Fyrakk. Needless to say, beating Fyrakk even in Heroic doesn't seem to be an easy task. Getting through all the Mythic boss and defeating the big bad dragon is levels above that Heroic feat. So it's safe to say that we won't see lots of Anu'relos in many collections until the next expansion.

Pumped up fairy dragon
In-game name: Flourishing Whimsydrake
Source: introductory quest line in the Emerald Dream zone
This creature is the sixth special Dragon Isles mount. It's highly customizable, just like the previous 5, and you can only use it in the Dragon Isles zones. Obviously, dragon riding features are also available for it. You can obtain this oversized fairy dragon by completing the introductory quest line in the Emerald Dream zone. It'll give you a better idea of what's going on there and your first contact with the new major faction Dream Wardens will also happen in the process.
Cat raptor hybrid
In-game name: Reins of the Ochre Dreamtalon

What this critter is, is really hard to explain. It looks like a tiger (mammal) had a child with a dinosaur (reptile). Surprisingly, this hybrid has survived and grown into a grown up specimen which is now also tame and rideable. There are at least 3 such monsters available for obtainment. 1 of them is given to you for completing a 24-day long quest line which involves lots of dailies and is similar to many other quests like that, that we had before. The other 2 are the new major faction (Dream Warden) rewards. They all look impressive but the first one is the best, in our view (in the video above it's the third).

Although we haven't seen any mentions of this being an updated version of the Night Elven racial mount, there are certain details about this panther mount that make it obvious. And it makes sense actually: the zone of the Emerald Dream has apparent connection to Night Elves. Hence, that would be surprising to see nothing like nightsaber as a reward this season.
And here it is, a raid glory mount. Well, this particular one is – at least 3 more variations exist as renown rewards of the Dream Warden faction. Obviously, it's easier to improve your renown than complete a set of often sadistic achievements that are included in the Glory. But we honestly think that this color variation – purple – is the best. So we'd say it's definitely worth the effort.
Make it less difficult
But is it really that much effort? When you do that on your own with PUGs, it is. When you do that in a company of professional raiders, it's absolutely not! So get this mount much sooner and without watching a single video guide – use our Amridrassil Glory boost!

Those four mounts are not the only additions – they are the most exciting ones. That doesn't mean that all the other mounts are bad or boring. By no means they are!
