Crafted Embellished Items in WoW – What are they?
Embellished items are awesome. Their special effects are really special in how they affect your character's combat capabilities. Imagine having an effect similar to what you're used to having in trinkets – but in, say, your boots or helmet. That's literally what these embellished items are. In this article we'll take a closer look at one particular kind of them. Read on to learn more!
What is embellishment?
Embellishment is a brand new system in WoW Professions that lets you add particular performance-enhancing effects to items. That can make your character stronger and more versatile. There are 2 ways to use these embellishments: either adding them to already existing items with the help of special consumables, or just crafting embellished items. The first option lets you make any crafted item embellished and you can choose which embellishment to apply to it. But in this article we'll be discussing embellished items that are, well, embellished right from the start and which have determined effects. You'll find the full list of such items below.
What embellishments are there?
Here we gathered all the embellished armor pieces that can be crafted in Dragonflight ver. 10.0.7. We divided them by armor type to make it easier to navigate.
Plate
Embellished plate items are made by blacksmiths. There are 6 such items of interest that we listed below. You'll also find descriptions for their special effects here.
- Allied Chestplate of Generosity
- Allied Wristguard of Companionship
- Frostfire Legguards of Preparation
- Infurious Helm of Vengeance
- Infurious Warboots of Impunity
- Unstable Frostfire Belt
1. Allied Chestplate of Generosity.
Slot: Chest.
Effect: Rallied to Victory.
Description: Give a versatility bonus (+43) to your character and the 4 closest allies within 30 yards.
2. Allied Wristguard of Companionship.
Slot: Wrist.
Effect: Allied Wristguard of Companionship.
Description: Give a little versatility bonus (+8) to all allies within 30 yards – stacks up to 4 times.
3. Frostfire Legguards of Preparation.
Slot: Legs.
Effect: Prepared Time.
Description: Get a haste bonus (+37) for 10 seconds for hitting a new enemy target. Stacks up to 5 times.
4. Infurious Helm of Vengeance.
Slot: Head.
Effect: Infurious Vengeance.
Description: Gives you a random buff that applies a DOT (damage on time effect) on an enemy target that does damage to your character. The DOT deals physical damage (1'616) over 6 seconds. On average this effect procs 3.5 times per 1 minute.
5. Infurious Warboots of Impunity.
Slot: Feet.
Effect: Gladiator's Distinction.
Description: All incoming crow controlling effects last 5% shorter.
6. Unstable Frostfire Belt.
Slot: Waist.
Effect: Unstable Frostfire.
Description: Randomly applies the Lingering Frostspark effect on the enemy targets that you hit with your spells and abilities. The effect is basically a DOT (damage over time) and it deals 1'164 frost-fire damage over 10 seconds. If an enemy dies before this effect expires, it will explode leaving a cold sleet for 8 seconds which slow other enemies down by 50%.
Mail embellished items are crafted by leatherworkers. There are 8 peculiar useful items like that but 3 of them have the same set bonus. Yes, they are sorta separate set. So we'll give them here in the list as one unit.

1. Acidic Hailstone Treads.
Slot: Feet.
Effect: Deep Chill.
Description: Randomly deal extra 700 frost damage with your spells and abilities but get a 10% movement speed decrease (while you have this item equipped). Both the positive and the negative effects are increase by 100% if you equip this item at the same time as an item crafted with a Toxified Armor Patch.
2. Allied Legguards of Sansok Khan.
Slot: Legs.
Effect: Rallied to Victory.
Description: Give a versatility bonus to your character and the 4 closest allies within 30 yards.
3. Ancestor's Dew Drippers, Scale Rein Grips, and Wind Spirit's Lasso.
Slots: Shoulder, Hands, and Waist.
Effect: Horizon Strider's Swiftness.
Description: Get a haste bonus (+210) for 10 seconds after dealing a critical damage or healing. The effect is not guaranteed – you only have a chance to activate it with a crit. It can stack up to 5 times.
4. Infurious Boots of Reprieve.
Slot: Feet.
Effect: Gladiator's Distinction.
Description: All incoming crow controlling effects last 5% shorter.
5. Infurious Chainhelm Protector.
Slot: Head.
Effect: Basran's Tenacity.
Description: Get a versatility bonus (+212) for 10 seconds whenever a player is defeated within 20 yards of you.
6. Venom-Steeped Stompers.
Slot: Feet.
Effect: Potent Venom.
Description: Gain 105 of your highest secondary stat and lose 53 of your lowest secondary stat for 10 seconds. This effect is triggered randomly, approximately 2 times per minute. Its gains and losses are increased by 100% if you wear an item made with a Toxified Armor patch at the same time as this item.
Buy embellished items at the AH today

Leather embellished pieces are also created by leatherworkers. This time there are 9 items of interest. 3 of them have a set bonus again so we count them as one in our list.

Description: Give a versatility bonus to your character and the 4 closest allies within 30 yards.
2. Flaring Cowl.
Slot: Head.
Effect: Flaring Cowl.
Description: Deal 208 fire damage to all nearby enemies every 3 seconds.
3. Infurious Footwraps of Indemnity.
Slots: Feet.
Effect: Gladiator's Distinction.
Description: All incoming crow controlling effects last 5% shorter.
4. Infurious Spirit's Hood.
Slot: Head.
Effect: Elder Spirit's Aid.
Description: Inflict 1% more damage over 5 seconds to enemy players attacking you.
5. Old Spirit's Wristwraps, Snowball Makers, and String of Spiritual Knick-Knacks.
Slot: Wrist, Hands, and Waist.
Effect: Magic Snowball.
Description: You have a chance to hurl a magic snowball towards your target – whether a hostile (enemy) or a friendly one (ally). You'll either deal frost damage or heal your target, depending on which of the 2 kinds it is.
6. Slimy Expulsion Boots.
Slot: Feet.
Effect: Coated in Slime.
Description: Occasionally deal nature damage (700) to your target while getting your haste reduced (-18). If you wear this item at the same time as an item created with a Toxidied Armor Patch, you get both those effects increased by 2.
7. Toxic Thorn Footwraps.
Slot: Feet.
Effect: Thriving Thorns.
Description: Occasionally launch magical thorns at your target either dealing nature damage (560) to your enemies or healing (+1'260) your allies. Your stamina is also reduced (-11). And if you wear this item at the same time as an item made with a Toxified Armor Patch, all those effects are multiplied by 2.
Cloth
Embellished cloth armor is made by tailors. There are as many as 12 noteworthy items of this kind. Yet there 2 more sets here: by 3 items either. We'll unite both those sets in one line.
- Allied Wristguards of Time Dilation

- Azureweave Mantle, Azureweave Robe, and Azureweave Slippers
- Blue Dragon Soles

Slot: Wrist.
Effect: Rallied to Victory.
Description: Give a versatility bonus to your character and the 4 closest allies within 30 yards.
2. Amice of the Blue.
Slot: Shoulder.
Effect: Amice of the Blue.
Description: Occasionally cast an AOE (area of effect) spell dealing arcane damage (2'540) split among all nearby enemies. This effect procs approximately 2 times per minute.
3. Azureweave Mantle, Azureweave Robe, and Azureweave Slippers.
Slots: Shoulder, Chest, and Feet.
Effect: Azureweave Vestments.
Description: By dealing damage you can randomly trigger the Piercing Azureweave buff that increases your Intellect for 8 seconds. And by healing your targets you can randomly apply the buff Flowing Azureweave to yourself that reduces the Mana cost of spells for 8 seconds.
4. Blue Dragon Soles.
Slot: Feet.
Effect: Blue Dragon Soles.
Description: Whenever you move for 2 seconds you get a stack of an effect increasing your Intellect by 37. It can stack up to 5 times. Whenever you start casting a spell, all those stacks will be consumed.
5. Chronocloth Gloves, Chronocloth Leggings, and Chronocloth Sash.
Slot: Hands, Legs, and Waist.
Effect: Woven Chronocloth.
Description: You randomly get stacks of Woven Chronocloth with casting spells and abilities. As you get 20 stacks, you get a Haste bonus.
6. Hood of Surging Time.
Slot: Head.
Effect: Prepared Time.
Description: Get a haste bonus (+37) for 10 seconds for hitting a new enemy target. Stacks up to 5 times.
7. Infurious Binding of Gesticulation.
Slot: Waist.
Effect: Gladiator's Distinction.
Description: All incoming crow controlling effects last 5% shorter.
8. Infurious Legwraps of Possibility.
Slot: Legs.
Effect: Infurious Legwraps of Possibility.
Description: Get a haste bonus (+106, for 10 seconds) whenever a crowd control bonus inflicted upon you is expired.

Jewelcrafter can also take part in this bellishment bonanza! There are 2 neck-slot items they can create.
- Choker of Shielding
- Elemental Lariat
1. Choker of Shielding.
Slot: Neck.
Effect: Choker of Shielding.
Description: This is an active ability. You get a shield that absorbs 3'228 per gem socketed in your gear yet at the same time all your stats on this item (choker) are reduced by 7.
2. Elemental Lariat.
Slot: Neck.
Effect: Elemental Lariat.
Description: Randomly increase stats of your socketed elemental gems by 84 for 12 seconds. This effect occurs approximately twice per minute.
Weapons
There are 3 embellished weapons currently available for creation. Interestingly, each of them is made by 3 different professions. The more obvious one is blacksmithing, and the 2 less obvious ones are inscription and leatherworking.
- Shield of the Hearth
- Weathered Explorer's Stave
- Witherrot Tome
1. Shield of the Hearth.
Made with: Blacksmithing.
Type: Off-hand.
Effect: Shield of the Hearth.
Description: Get 64 versatility for 15 seconds at a random time when blocking damage. This effects occurs approximately twice per minute.
2. Weathered Explorer's Stave.
Made with: Inscription.
Type: Staff.
Effect: Weathered Explorer's Stave.
Description: Get a Haste bonus (+308) for 10 seconds at a random time while dealing damage. This effect procs about once per minute.
3. Witherrot Tome.
Made with: Leatherworking.
Type: Off-hand.
Effect: Tome-Wrought Rot.
Description: Apply a DOT (damage over time) effect on your target that deals 263 Nature damage every 2 seconds and slows their movement speed by 30% for 10 seconds. This DOT occurs randomly and is triggered by dealing damage. It procs approximately twice per minute.
