Dragon FIGHT Club – What is this achievement?

World PvP in WoW needs more love. Apparently, Blizzard though so too so they added the Dragonfight Club achievement in the Dragonflight expansion. Yes, the name of the achievement is somewhat hard on the eyes, so here's a better way to write it: Dragon Fight Club. It's obviously a reference to the famous novel "Fight Club" by Chuck Palahniuk but unlike previous ones in the game, this one has nothing to do with the Brawl's Guild game mode.

Why is it important? It's always a good thing when developes enocurage players to fight each other in the open world. Although the Dragon Isles are all about flying, the new dragonriding system creates a much bigger room for outdoor PvP than you might think. First of all, you can knock other players from their dragons with you dragon. Secondly, players can't just fly around like usual, they have to make sure they pick the right angle and have enough vigor to ascend. That can lead to numerous situations where players from one faction will get an advantage over players of the other. So if you want to have some fun with it all, turn on your war mode!

This achievement isn't the only reason to do that (fun is the most important reason, of course) but it gives open-world PvP enthusiasts something more tangible than just good emotions to receive for their activity. Also, it directs your efforts and gives you particular ideas on how to participate in free-for-all fighting in the Dragon Isles. Let's take a closer look at the Dragon Fight Club achievement to learn more!

What are the requirements?

There are just 7 achievements you need to complete to get the Dragon Fight Club's prestigious title "Malicious". Those achievements are:

  1. Malicia's Challenge
  2. A Champion's Tour: Dragon Isles
  3. Tour of Duty: The Waking Shores
  4. Tour of Duty: Ohn'ahran Plains
  5. Tour of Duty: The Azure Span
  6. Tour of Duty: Thaldraszus
  7. A Champion's Pursuit

Although they are not many, they are rather tough to complete. They can be roughly divided into 3 groups:

  1. World PvP Quests (completing related quests)
  2. Tours of Duty (farming honor in particular zones)
  3. A Champion's Pursuit (it's just unique so it's all alone in its category)
We'll talk about each of those categories in this article and see what are the best ways to complete the achievements they include.

World PvP Quests

The best part about Dragonflight's World PvP quests is that they don't have PvP objectives. What that means is that you don't have to defeat other characters to complete it. Well, not necessarily. You get a particular task (like beat proto-drakes, catch them, and bring them to the quest giver) and you have to complete it with the war mode on. Since these quests are the same for both factions, you can imagine what it can lead to. Lots of blood and fighting in the quest area, of course! It's not guaranteed to happen all the time – some days you will meet more laid-back folks, some other days – less. Fights are possible and even probable but we doubt that many players will enjoy endless skirmishes day, in day out.

As for the particular achievements, there are 2 that are required for the Dragonflight Club super achievement and they are: Malicia's Challenge and A Champion's Tour: Dragon Isles. The former requires you to complete 4 different world PvP quests, the latter demands completing 20 such quests of each type (80 in total, that is). All in all, it's not going to be extremely hard to achieve these things, but it will take some time since world PvP quests have a cooldown and you'll need at least 20 resets to be through with it (that's approximately 5 months).

Tours of Duty

Achievements of this kind might prove to be the hardest on the list. There are 4 of them, one for each new zone: Waking Shores, Ohn'ahran Plains, Azure Span, and Thaldraszus. You gotta earn 1'000 honor points in each to get them all. How do you earn honor? You fight other players. Participate in all open-world brawls that you come by and you'll get these feats at some point. However, knowing how reluctant most players are to take part in PvP fights, we'd say these achievements won't be easy to complete on most realms. Unless there's an active PvP community on yours. Then you're lucky, yes.

A Champion's Pursuit

This achievement is somewhat similar to the first one but it has unique features. Basically, you gotta defeat 4 rare mobs, one in each new zone, and that will be it. Naturally, you need to have an active war mode for that. As you can imagine, players flock to where there's an elite rare mob, so you can expect them to fight for a newly spawned one. We don't really believe that there will be full-scale battles to determine who deserves killing a rare NPC most. It's quite probable, that unlocking this achievement will be much easier than it seems.  So just give it a try: try turning on the war mode whenever you meet any of these rare mobs:

  • Krolkoth the Mountain (Waking Shores)
  • Tarolekk the Stomper (Ohn'ahran Plains)
  • Nezascar the Sightless (Azure Span)
  • Rhuzast the Tempest (Thaldraszus)
However, if your realm is highly populated and there are PvP guilds there, we'd be cautious. Most likely, there will be severe fights for such spawning points.

***

All in all, this is a fun achievement to complete. The excitement of doing quests or finishing off a rare mob without getting whacked by players of the opposing faction – it's something special.  It gets even better when you get a chance to defeat someone yourself. And then more players get involved, you fight as team against team, and it can even evolve into something bigger. Open world PvP will always have a special place in our hearts and this achievement offers you at least some kind of reward for participating in it. Give it a shot, it's worth it!

However, if you just want the title and have no time for all these battles (of if you're just undergeared), we can offer you some help. With our Dragonfight Club boost you can get this achievement much sooner than you expect! Learn more about what's included in the boost and what to expect on the dedicated page in our catalog!
