WoW Amirdrassil Class Sets – What are they like?

Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope, is the raid released with WoW Patch 10.2. As it's usually the case, it's presented as the main feature and the pinnacle activity of the update. And even beyond the gameplay part, it truly is very important for the Emerald Dream which is a legendary plain that we're venturing to this time.

Like most other raids, Amirdrassil features raid sets that give special bonuses to characters who equip several pieces of them at once. Each of the 13 game classes has their own set of armor here and some of them are supposed to look like they have something to do with the Emerald Dream. Not all of them, unfortunately, but still. The visuals are good for the most part nonetheless, you'll see that for yourself below.

In this blog post we've gathered the general information about Amirdrassil sets for a quick but informative overview. Read on to learn more!

What sets are there?

As we've already said, there are 13 classes in the game at the moment which makes the total number of sets 13 as well. The sets have the armor type property. It's possible to divide them into 4 groups by that criterium:

ARMOR TYPECLASSES
PlateDeath Knight, Paladin, Warrior
MailEvoker, Hunter, Shaman
LeatherDemon Hunter, Druid, Monk, Rogue
ClothMage, Priest, Warlock
Below you'll find 4 sections each of which focuses on sets of a particular armor type.

Plate sets

Amirdrassil's plate armor makes an impression of something heavy and well-protecting! That's how those plate sets always are. Let's take a look at what their names are and what other classes they share tokens with:

There are few surprises there but still that might be a handy refresher. If you want to learn more about the bonuses that these sets have, see our dedicated blog post by clicking the button below:

Mail sets

Among the mail sets that come from Amidrassil you can find another set for the latest class, evoker. As any new class they currently lack unique outfits and lots of players expect a lot from their raid sets. We'd say that this time the designers have lived up to the expectations. Hunters and Shamans also has something exciting to show!

Leather sets

The leather gang is the most numerous: there as many as 4 classes there. Amirdrassil has great options for them all in terms of great equipment!

Poor Monks and Rogues – not only do they have more competition than DHs and Druids, but also they have to compete against each other although both of them use the same armor type. Talk about injustice in the world (of Warcraft)!

There's lots of useful info to learn about leather-wearing classes' Amirdrassil bonuses and you can find all of it in this blog post of ours:

Cloth sets

This armor type's lineup has been the most stable of all. There haven't ever been a new cloth-wearing class since the very inception of the game's history. It's hard to believe now but at the very beginning the cloth group was the most crowded: 3 classes at once, while all other groups had only 2. Further additions changed that balance though. Here are some details about their Amirdrassil gear:

There are some more exciting things to learn about these 3 types of conjurers right now. And those things of interest mainly concern the bonuses that these classes can get with the help of Amirdrassil armor. You can learn all about it in a separate blog post dedicated to Patch 10.2's Cloth armor sets:
