[WoW Gear Guide] 4 Things You MUST Do Before Weekly Reset

If you want a strong character, these 4 things are a 100% must!

Building a strong character takes some knowledge. Luckily, you're about to learn all you need right now. It's up to you how to use that knowledge, of course: some people put it to use right away and become better very soon, some people just carry it in their head doing practically nothing else to improve their character's gear. We hope you're among the former group and if so, we can assure you that very soon your character will become much better than the majority on your realm. Let's see how you're going to do it:

Here's what you character should do each week before the reset hits:

wow boost weekly rewards

As you can see, there are 4 pillars of your success: raids, dungeons, horrific visions, and PvP. All of these activities have something special for your character and each time you fail to get it before the reset comes, you lose it forever. And that isn't an exaggeration: you literally have no way to get back to the missed opportunity – you'll only have to make the most of the next week to somehow catch up. Let's take a closer look at each of these 4 activities:

Raids are important for your character: they bring you the best gear the game has. Heroic loot is considered to be good enough to help you deal with most challenges the game has. The Mythic one is even better, but getting it is an entire challenge on its own, so it's not always worth the time and effort.

However, raids bring you loot only once a week and there's no way you can overcome that. Raids are also hard and gear comes at a price: you're not the only one who's after the purples – a huge raid team of people won't give it to you just like that. Your raid team is not always capable of dealing with the harder difficulties (Heroic and Mythic). And the worst thing about it all is the raid paradox: you have to have a raid experience to be accepted to a raid group, yet you need to be accepted to a raid group to get the experience. So what do you do?

There are 2 ways out: either you spend hours and hours to get through, regularly doing LFR, watching guides, gathering PUGs – it's the hard way, but that's how many self-made raiders had it. Or you have some help, get some gear and proofs of your experience (achievements, items) and get invited to weekly raids ever since. It's the easy way for you to save time and peace of mind. In case you'd like to get some help we'd be glad to give you just that.

2/4. MYTHIC+

buy mythic plus boost wow weekly chest

Mythic+ Dungeons are essential for gearing up, they are even better than raids. And here's the reason why: you can get gear of up to 465 more than once a week – in fact, you can get great items as many times as you wish. It's only a matter of your spare time. So you definitely should consider doing a lot of Mythic+ dungeons. At least one successful M+15 a week guarantees you a 475-ilvl item in your weekly chest.

There are many advantages of Mythic+ over raids: smaller groups, fewer bosses, you complete dungeons faster, you find groups to start them faster, and so on. However, they are still pretty difficult and your share of responsibility becomes much bigger than in raids. It means you must be more focused, act faster and more confidently. While Mythic+10 is already not for everyone, Mythic+15 is a challenge for the strongest few. So again, it's either you master Mythic+ dungeons or you get a little help to secure the best weekly chest and build a stronger character faster.

buy horrific visions boost wow

Horrific Visions are unique to patch 8.3, but they are crucial for your character to gear up. Not only they give you a pretty decent item after each run, they also improve your legendary cloak that helps you a lot in the Ny'alotha raid. Doing Visions without masks though? Still makes sense, but not too much: the visions are much easier without them, but they award less powerful goodies. In case you don't know what masks are: they are sorta M+ affixes, they add difficulty to your Vision run as well as better rewards for successfully completing it.

Learn More About Horrific Visions

Horrific Visions are actually fun, but just as anything else in WoW fun ends at a certain level of difficulty. The only way to get through it is to accumulate better gear. Now it becomes a little more boring, doesn't it? And more time-consuming too, by the way: to get into a Horrific Vision you're going to need a special access item which takes time to obtain – you got the idea, they just want you to spend more time in the game. buy pvp weekly chest boost wow carries

PvP is not everyone's cup of tea, but trust us, there's no such thing as the gear you don't need. If you can have a great item from a weekly chest, why won't you? There are not too many outstanding players among the lower ranks, so it's basically free rewards. But yes, you need to have a somewhat experienced teammate for that. If you don't have one, just try doing arena with a friend – it's actually pretty fun, even if you don't win all the time.

However, your goal is not just to have fun, but to gear up fast in the process. That will take a different approach: having a pro player on your team to get a better reward at the end of the week sounds about right. Usually it takes almost no time to meet the requirements for a weekly chest – the requirements are called the conquest cap – so you can be sure it's going to be fast.
